dyeing process #1

The first installation of the series ‘Dyeing Process’, about the image reproduction process.

With this installation I search for the essence of printing by working with the three primary colours used in most printing techniques, cyan, magenta and yellow. Over the course of a month these colours were printed on a large scroll of paper in the form of small dots, referring to the dots that all printed images consist out of. Because the ends of this paper scroll are tied together, a loop is formed, resulting in the dots eventually overlapping and forming new colours.
